Flamingo Cantina w/ Jinxpack, Amazing Transparent Man, Don't Look Down, Plain White T's, Interstate 808 and Born to Lose

Quote of the Night: "That guys got a lot of eyebrows for such a bald head!"

Random Show Facts:

We played a couple new songs to test them out before we record them for the CD...good response to all. Jinxpack, our friends from Chicago, rocked even harder than they did the last time we played with them. Plus one of them works at Guitar Center, so he and Maggie talked shop for awhile which was pretty funny.

Plain White T's is the new Jimmy Eat World.

Mr. Gatti's puts green olives on their everything pizza...weird.

It was awesome to play a show where all 7 bands on the bill knew how to lay down the rock!!

The 21st St. Co-op w/ Unknown Reason

I quit writing journals for shows because I felt like lately they all started to sound the same....good show, good bands, but nothing new or exciting. However, the show last night deserves a journal. This was officially our first time to play a "house party" in Austin and it was awesome. It was our friends Unknown Reason first show ever...I was definitely impressed. Their songs were catchy and they even did a Face to Face cover...and you always win with Face to Face. There was a good-sized crowd for them and kids rockin' out, so I was excited to play.

Finally it was our turn and as soon as we started playing, people started dancing. As the show went on, people proceeded to spill beer all over the concrete floor, which made for a very entertaining dancefloor/pit. People kept slipping and falling down, then they started diving onto the floor and sliding across it on their bellies. Pretty funny. After we were done with the set, people started yelling for "one more" and thats always a sign of a good show. Anyway, thanks to Rick and Unknown Reason for asking us to play, all the kids at the Co-Op and everyone who helped us carry our stuff up the 3 flights of stairs.
