We played some great shows last week. First on Aug. 26 we played at Jo's Coffee on South Congress. It was for their "Rock and Reel" series...a band plays and then when it gets dark they show a movie. We played before "Blue Crush", a cheezy but good surfer chick movie. Some friends came out (THANKS!) and lots of new people were there, which is always good. We also think that Benjamin Mackenzie from the OC was there. Did anyone else see him? Can anyone confirm it? If it was him, he was smiling during our entire set...maybe we'll end up on "The OC." Nothing wrong with dreaming big. Thanks to Jo's for asking us to play.

On Aug. 28 we played another great show at Trophys. Before the show we had a little photo shoot, so we were all made-up for the show. It's a rare thing for Sarah and I to have on that much eyeliner... but it was fun. The show was a GoGirlsMusic event.... Queen of Spades played before us, they were (all girl) instrumental surf rock. I was definately impressed. We know all to well how all-girl bands tend to get stereotyped as a certain kind of music, so it was really cool to see some other girls breaking the mold. Our show was alot of fun...lots of friends drunk and dancing up front (and thanks to Jason for taking pictures and buying new camera batteries.) At the end of the show, I almost knocked myself out, when I walked into the monitor hanging above the stage. The hazards of being in a band...
