GO VOTE ON TUESDAY!!!!

if you have to stand in line for an hour, don't get mad. Remember it's a good thing...it means lots of people are voting.

we might not be able to actually pick our president, but we can pick everyone else....voting for house of rep, senate, and others can make a difference...plus you count as a statistic...which definately means something. If politicians see that people care enough to go vote, then hopefully they'll care enough to listen to us.

Sorry we've been so lame about keeping things updated... here's a quick review of our last month of shows...
we took a mini-tour up to Wichita, KS and back. We played Denton first, Oct 7 - something about opening bands in Denton, they haven't figured out "band ettiquette" and once again didn't stay for the show when their set was over. The pizza at JJs made up for it though, and thanks again to our Denton and Dallas friends for coming out and to Josh for setting up the show and dancing the whole time.
Next was The Green Door in OKC, Oct 8....no comment on that one...if you reallly care email me and I'll fill you in.
On to Wichita, KS with TenPin, Oct. 9 We've been trying to play a show with these guys forever and it finally worked out! The show wasn't packed... apparently due to homecoming...but we had a great time regardless, and those WIchita kids know how to keep a band in business. Thanks to Kelly for driving down from freakin' MN and for sharing her hotel room.
Back to OKC, where we played with Magnificent 7 at 66 Bowl, Oct. 10 It was nice to see old friends and in between sets we got to bowl with the 'rents. Can't get much better than that.
In Austin, Oct 17, we finally played Redrum - the show was long - 5 bands, but it was varied genres of music which made it better. (I'm not much for reviewing bands, but here's my take on the show)Todays Last Dawn from College Station opened...enthusiastic and entertaining highschool boys playing their own brand of screamo. Next was Next Best Thing from Houston...we've played with them a couple time now and I like these guys better and better everytime I see them. They tour alot so check them out when they come to town! We were next, I think it went well, although the stage at Redrum is weird....there are red lights that make everything kinda surreal, not to mention how loud everything is. Christina lost her contact on the 3rd song, but still managed to rock out for the entire set. 57 State from San Marcos was 4th... rap/rock at it's finest. I don't see much of this kind of music so it was a cool change...although I thought kind of an odd choice of band for this particular show. Last was Furkloven, turned out the hot boy I'd been eyeing all night was one of the guitar players. They had a rough time...guitars not working or out of tune, strings breaking etc., but they made it through their entire set still smiling and even with the tech difficulties it was a good show...
Oct. 22 we played Lucys in San Marcos. We've lived in Austin for almost 4 years, it's hard to believe it was our first time there - shouldn't be that hard to go 30 miles south. It was a fun show. Harlots, TX and Ruins of Broadway also played....both really good bands - it rocked, and hopefully we'll play there again...sooner rather than later.
Now we're taking a little break from playing shows, so that we can concentrate on finishing up a few songs that we have in the works. Hopefully they'll be finished by the end of the year so that we can record a new EP....woohoo! We've got big plans for next year, lots of touring - the US and Europe.
Thats it for now. Have a spooky halloween!!
