Tonight Maggie and I went to see A Hard Day's Night for $1. It was awesome. I thought I'd seen it before, but it turns out I hadn't...so it was double-awesome. I love The Beatles, and it was funny watching the movie and thinking "those boys look like boys I would be friends with"....I guess all band boys look the same..haha.
Anyway, we've played a couple of cool shows lately. Yesterday was a benefit in Georgetown. It was a really long day, and we were super tired(due to our friends' band from Oklahoma playing a show the night before), but fun was had anyway...although I'll admit I did go take a quick nap in the van. A lot of good bands played, the Georgetown kids rocked, and I hope some money was raised.
We also played an amazing show in Laredo before Thanksgiving. I meant to write a blog about it over the holiday, but I ended up not having as much time doing nothing as I thought I would. So, to sum it up...everyone in Laredo was so nice and they all stood right up front and danced through the whole set. We got a free hotel room, which is always cool, we ate some great breakfast tacos, and went to Mexico for a couple hours(where I decided we're gunna do a cover of Mana(?? is that right?). We also got stopped by border patrol twice on our way out! If you want to read a more detailed description, you can read Christina's blog on Myspace....speaking of Myspace, if you are on it....add SDS to your friends!
